Young Goodman Brown

I found the above video on a blog called protozoic, a very strange and clever place indeed.

Click here for a handout we’re going to use when reading Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

The following audio is an unabridged reading of the story. We will begin reading this story tomorrow and my hope is to use the audio as support.

For those that are really interested in the story, there is now an audio-text version of “Young Goodman Brown” at the Adam Smith Academy website:

Students can now read and listen along to the Hawthorne’s text for greater comprehension and retention.

Thanks for the link, Dave. Wish I’d found this page before I taught the story earlier this semester.

No problem, Mr. Fasano. Let us know if there are any other stories that you are teaching for the rest of this semester, or next, that we can create an audio-text page for you. For example we just put up an audio-text page for “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” with illustrations.
