Okay, how do I download these videos? Most places like YouTube embed their videos in Flash format because they don’t want you to download them. Downloading Flash video can be a problem.
But with Firefox it’s really quite simple. First, you need to find the video. For me, that’s usually YouTube, but not always. There are tons of video sites out there. I found the above Simpsons video at a place called hi5 Video. Youtube dumped this video because of a copyright dispute. I’m using it for educational purposes, so as far as I’m concerned my use of it is covered by the legal principal of “fair use.”
The next thing you need to do is download a Firefox add-on called Fast Video Download. There are other add-ons, but this one I recommend. It is by far the most reliable, and it reads the embedded Flash video instantly. No more waiting for the video to load.
What you do with it is up to you.

Thanks for this; we looked everywhere for our American Literature Before the Civil War class, college level.
