About Me

Tom Fasano

Here I am standing in front of a vineyard n Temecula, California.

My name is Tom Fasano.

I was born in Virginia and now live in Claremont, California. I have traveled and worked on corporate projects in much of the US. Now I’m a high school English teacher in Southern California. These varied decades-long experiences have shaped my thinking profoundly.

I graduated from Florida Southern College with an eye towards being a school teacher. But like the narrator in Robert Frost’s poem, I took the road less traveled. In my case the road led toward the classroom. Unlike the vast majority of public education teachers, I have spent most of my career in publishing and telecommunications.

I am amazed and inspired on a daily basis by the educators I work with. Their commitment, passion, creativity is . . . astonishing. I will focus much of the dialogue in this blog (and blogs are indeed dialogues) on education.
